We are five volunteers form four
different countries: Yusuf and Ekrem from Turkey, Luigi from Italy, Carles from
Spain and Eliise from Estonia. We have all came to Romania to work as a
volunteers in a NGO called CADDRU (The Assistance Centre for the Sustainable
Development of Human Resources, or Centrul
de Asistenta pentru Dezvoltare Durabila si Resurse Umane, in Romanian). The
mission of our organisation is to educate private and public bodies in the
field of formal, non-formal and informal education, raise social and civic
responsibility; promote active citizenship, intercultural dialogue and
entrepreneurship.
We are here with two different
projects: With All Colours: EVS Rainbow
for Yusuf and Ekrem and Shining Youth for
the others, nevertheless, the programme International
Award connects the two projects and in our everyday life we work together
on that. International Award is an international self-developing programme for
young people, which allows them to
develop different skills, raise self-confidence, motivation and a lot more. We
teach the students of Lazar High School our talents and skills (languages, graphic
design, dancing, photography, football etc), mentor and motivate them to
continue with the journey of self-development.
